My name is Adam, and I like music.
I am new to this blogging thing, so I would love any feedback or comments. Also, I love finding new music, so if you know/are a band or artist that I might like, please post a comment or contact me.

And so I take my first fledgling steps into the blogosphere…
This blog is born out of my passion for music and my growing desire for an outlet to process it. There are many things in life that I truly enjoy, however, my love for music consistently prevails itself as one of my greatest interests. It seems I am constantly searching for new music, and at times grasping to express what it is that moves me about the stuff I know and love.
My practical aspirations for this blog are multi-fold. First, in line with my above-mentioned ceaseless pursuit of new tunes, I simply like the idea of having a log to look back on that highlights the stand-outs I come across.
Secondly, I am also hopeful that this could serve as a forum to re-examine (or simply recollect) some of my past favorites. Many times I will listen to something I like for the umpteenth time, and will finally process this lyric or that bassline and my appreciation for it will take on a whole other dimension. Furthermore, there are many layers of history, anecdote, back-story, and cultural relevance that often times make a song/artist/album all the more rich. So maybe I will use this as notepad to dig deeper.
Last and foremost, the driving force behind this endeavor is to share the music I like, love, or simply find amusing with friends (and strangers perchance). It may be in tune with Chris McCandless’s revelation that “happiness is real when shared”, but I typically derive the greatest satisfaction from music when I am able to enjoy it with friends…and I get a kick from turning people on to new stuff too.
So with all that said, here goes…
Adam
